Q.

Need advice on H1-H4-H1 with my current employer

1.I have been with my current employer and my last project got over on 16th April 2009.As per policy, they asked me come back to India.I have requested some extention and continue staying here in US.Also, since my wife is working here I have applied for COS to H4(based on her H1 with another vendor) on May 6th and its Pending for approval. Now my current employer came up with a possible opportunity for me and am waiting for confirmation. If it works out and if I have to join in a week or two,Can I cancel my COS(toH4) and continue working with my current employer with their H1 without leaving US?
2. What would be the case If my COS to H4 gets approved and am joining the project with my current employer after that? Can I still work for them without leaving US? Anything else need to be done?
