Q.

L-1B to H-1B with Change of Status

My L-1B expires 11/25/09 and I-94 valid till 11/25/09. Same company this year has filed H-1B with Change of Status for 2010 and I am pending approval. I have to plan my travel to get marreid outside US & want to avoid visa stamping as much as I can & want to start with H-1 by 10/1/09

Q1:Starting from now? What's the most suitable time for me to travel outside for 2 weeks

Q#2:I heard that if you travel while COS is pending, then this mean the abandonment of COS application, but H-1B would still go along. Is it true?

Q3:What if I leave next week & come back before June 15? Is it a safe risk? Still would I abandon COS?

Q4:If traveling abandons COS while pending H-1 approval can I re-apply for a fresh COS if I come back before Oct 1st 2009?

Q5:Whats the best advice for travel?
