Q.

Change of status form B1 Tio H1B

I am now on B1 which is Valid till 06/19/09.I got contract with a hospital to start my residency on 07/01/09.I wanna change my status inside USA.I applied for B1Extension fromm 06/20/09to10/02/2009.I`ll apply for H1B on 05/05/09,My concerens:-Do you think it is suitable date or it is early?-I am afraid to get the B1approval extension application after I get the H1b approval then I should apply for new H1 or I get the denial then I have to leave, for this reason I am thinking to withdraw my B1 visa extension application as soon as I got the H1B approval, but do you think it`ll be ok to withdraw it before 06/19 and stay till July 1st,do u think that wont be illegal?-is it often to get both B1 and H1b approval together? my wife back is Syria and she will apply for H4 there, will that hurt her?
