Q.

My H1B extension with my H4 EAD pending

Hello,

I'm currently working with Company 'X'.
My current H1B (along with I-94) valid till end of Dec'2017.
6th year of H1B will be completed by Dec'2018.
My employer not sponsoring GC, so no PERM/I-140 for me.
Applied for H4 + H4 EAD (based on my spouse I-140) in July'2017.
Case pending with VSC as of now and expecting a result in mid Feb'2018.
Current employer is now applying for H1B extension (end date Dec'2018 if approved).

Questions:
1) What will happen if my H1B is approved in mid Jan'2018 and then H4 + EAD approved
in mid Feb'2018?
2) What will happen if my H4+ EAD is approved in mid Jan'2018 and then H1B approved
in mid Feb'2018?

Can I continue working after Dec'2017 with both my H1B & my H4 EAD pending?

Thanks
