I just finished my MS and on my OPT which will expire in July 09. I am currently working with company A which is e-verified because of which I was able to apply for an OPT extension of an additional 17months.
The same company A applied for my H1 which is still in process. I got another job offer with company B and I wish to take that offer up. Assuming that my H1B with company A gets approved can I get my H1B transferred to company B before the H1B start date in Oct '09. Or since my H1B is still being processed can I request companyB too to file for a new H1B for me so that I can request company A to cancel my petition. Please could you clarify this and if I am wrong on both my assumptions can you suggest what needs to be done so that I can join companyB right away to start work.
