Q.

H4 to H1 to H4

My status:
I am on H1B valid till Aug'09 via company-A with approved I-140.
wifeStatus:
1.Came to US on H4 valid(Aug'09).Got her H1B approval in Oct-08 from company-B
2.As of today(Mar-09)she is on medical leave (pregnancy). Her Employer didnot pay till day(no pay stubs)
We are planning for a vacation out of US in Sept'09
Queries:
1.Is my wife on H1 or H4
2.How long can she be without paystub
3.when I apply for my H1b renewal what status should I show for my wife.
4.If she plans to continue to take care of baby, would like a COS from H1 to H4(depending on her current status). What options Do I have and with whom should I apply her COS. Through her company or mine?
5.Can I get her current H1b back through a different employer-C
