Q.

H4-H1-H4-Reentry

What are the risks at the port of entry if the immigration officer asks me why I want to move out of h1 to h4 and how do I need to tackle it?Can I tell the officer the fact that I would like to move to h4 as I’m on the bench and my employer couldn’t find me a project? What are all the documents that I need to carry to have the safety net required to tackle the immigration officer at the port of entry. Please list the original docs I will need to carry and what docs can be photocopies and not originals.Do I have to notarize the photocopies? If I’m denied retry what will happen and what should my course of action be?What should I be prepared with in such a case.

I've been on h1 without paystubs and project since oct08.Am I currently out of status? If so,do I have to leave the US & how soon
