Q.

getting payed from two companies on H1B

Hi,

I am presently with company A on H1B and they have given two months notice of lay-off and then 8 weeks of severance pay. For these two months, I will be their employee getting regular pay and they will lay me off if I still continue with them with 8 weeks of severance after two months.
I have two questions:
1.
In this time frame of two months, I find a job, do my H1B transfer and start getting salary from company B and continue receiving salary with company A, will this create any problem in future say while applying green-card?

2.
If I do H1B transfer with company B and defer my joining date by two months and join them after collecting severance from company A, will this create any issue?

Please let me know.

Thanks
