I need some information on FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency funds), I have received FEMA funds while I was on student Visa during Katrina hurricane (2005...our apartment was drowned and I lost all my belongings and I received $8000 from FEMA). I have read it online recently on (www.nafsa3.org )that it can affect my Visa stamping. Can you please tell me if accepting FEMA funds would cause H1B visa processing issues/visa stamping issues.

Also, would it be OK if I contact FEMA office now and pay back...will it effect my visa stamping..stamping in Dec India
