H1b extension
h1b 6 year expiring apr-2012. By mistake, USCIS approved my H1b till Apr 13 instead Apr 2012 with i94. Attorney told me they will file for extension before Apr 2012 instead Apr 2013. After that i-140 got approved. Now, attorney feels I don’t need h1b approval till Apr13.
Attorney Reply:
“Back in 2010, when we filed your H-1B, we had requested 3 years, which the USCIS granted. We then figured out that the USCIS had done an error. Because of that, we updated your expiration date to 4/7/2012 in our system. Since USCIS has approved your I-140 you are again entitled to that H-1B status through 4/7/2013.Becz of your approved I-140 now, your 4/7/2013 expiration date is no longer an error. Again, you are in the US legally through 4/7/2013.”
