Q.

Is it possible to change H-1B now?

Hi,
I will be moving to a different location while staying in my current job position in the same company. I think this will require change in my H-1B. I would like to know if I am eligible for that based on the below dates. If yes, when will this new H-1B expire?

1. July 2005: Got H-1B for the first time for company A.
2. April 2009: Got I-140 approved from company B.
3. Oct 2010: Moved to current company C. Since I had an approved I-140 at that point of time, I got H-1B for 3 years (upto Oct 2013).
4. July 2011: My 6 years of regular H-1B period is over.
5. Oct 2011: Need change in my H-1B for job location change. I DO NOT know if company B has revoked my approved I-140. Company C has not started my GC process yet.

Will the same hold if I move to another company?

Thanks.
