H1 visa getting paid in stock
I am on L2 status with EAD. I will be on H1-B starting Oct 1st. My H1-B was sponsored by my current company.
My company is undergoing financial setback. So they are paying employees with stocks( salary equivalent).
1) I am getting paid in stocks now, but starting Oct 1st if I continue to be paid in stock, then will it affect my H1 status?
Is this Legal? what are the consequences?.
2)Meanwhile I am also trying to find job in some other company. If some company agrees to transfer my H1B, will it be a problem since I am getting paid in stock? H1B transfer requires me to produce my previous paystubs. Can I show my stock paystub as my salary paystub?
3) If my current company gets acquired by some other company, how my h1B is going to be affected?
