Q.

Regarding maintaining Status

I am an international student on F1,I completed my masters this spring and graduated on Aug 5th. I already used OPT for this masters due to problems in my thesis Research work. Now that i graduated this spring and got the diploma in summer, i joined in new university and applied for H1B students quota based on the degree received. I got my H1B approval yesterday, and i am kind of fix that if i drop my classes now will i be still in status and can start work from OCt1. I just joined the new university only to maintain status for applying H1B since i already used my OPT. Please let me know if drop the classes now from my F1, it wont effect my H1 status and wont be any problem with sevis or uscis now or in future.
