I just got my H1B renewal approved. I am going to Matamoros Mexico for stamping on September 20th. When i filled out the DS160 form online, i mentioned that i am single.
I am getting married on October 16th.
So i started to fill out the DS160 form for my fiance to book an interview appointment immediately after the marriage.
This is where i have a couple of questions:
1. Can i enter her Marital Status as Married even though we are getting married on Oct 16th (Or) Do i have to wait until after the marriage to fill out the DS160 form, at which time it will be hard to get an appointment?
2. If i can enter her status as married, would it effect my Visa stamping, since i entered mine as single and another DS160 form in the database has me as a spouse?
