I have an H1-B that is expiring in Sep 2011. My employer has already filed for my extension. The USCIS website shows the status as "Initial Review".
a) I have a job offer from another employer that is ready to file for my H1-B. This is a contract position of 6+ months. If I join this new job after getting my extension approved for next 3 years, is it still possible that my H1-B from the new employer could be for less than 3 years because the contract is only 6+ months?
b)My first H1 approval was for 1 year and then I moved to another employer and my H1 was approved again for 1 year. Now, my most current employer is filing for my extension for 3 years. How much is the extension fees if the extension is filed by the same employer?
