Q.

I 140 approved and change of employer

My current H1B expires on May 2012 which is when 6 years on H1B will be completed. My I140(EB2) has been approved and my PD is Oct 2009. I485 is not yet filed. If I find an employer who is willing to sponser my H1B, can this future employer use my current approved I140 (assuming it is not revoked by my current employer) to file for H1B 3 year extension when it is time (i.e within 180 days for H1B expiry)?
What risks would I face if this were to be possible? I understand that the future employer will have to restart the Green Card process by applying for LC, but I want to make sure this wouldn't cause any issues.
