Hi,

I was on H1B & lost my job on May2, I applied for my H4 (since my wife is currently on H1B) and USCIS received my petition on May 24th and is in pending status.

In between I got an offer to join a Company X and they filed for my H1B, USCIS received petition on June30 and is in pending status. Now I am no longer interested in joining the company X.

I want to understand if I can ask the Company X to withdraw my petition, will I be back on the H4 Status (Pending) automatically or is there anything else that I need to do.

I also have to follow up with Company X, to withdraw my petition, but do I need to notify to USCIS also? & what are the options do I have so that my H4 status petition is not jeopardized.
