I have a current H1 petition valid till 12-Nov-2011, and also I got the new H1-extension petition based on my I-140 approval which is valid from 13-Nov-2011 to 10-Nov-2014. Currently I do not have H1B VISA stamp in passport as I am having the valid H1B petition with valid I-94 card.
I am planning to visit India after 13-Aug-2011 and I would like go for H1 stamping based on
the new petition. When the VISA is issued, will there be any start date of the visa validity?Do I need to show the current petition to VISA officer?does the VISA contains the information of my current petition so that there will not
be any issue when I return to US by end of August. I read in some forums saying I can travel only just before 10 days of the new petition validity.Please clarify the above queries.
