Q.

Unemployment period when on H1B visa transfer process

Greetings,

I had to give my current employer 2 weeks notice even before my new employer filed for H1 transfer (They have all my documents and I have the offer letter as well)
The current job ends July 15th as per the notice.
In the worst case, if the new employer has not filed my petition until July 15th with USCIS am I out of status and in trouble ?
Does USCIS keep such cases under a microscope?

Thank you!
