Background:
1. I am in my 8th year on my H1-Visa.
2. My PERM was filed in Jan 2009 in EB3.It was selected for an audit and is still under processing.
3. My H1 visa and I-94 expired 02/01/2011. I had applied for H1 extension prior to the expiry.
4. I received an RFE on H1 extension regarding the duration on H1 - which was responded to.
5. I checked my application status online - and saw that my H1 extension was denied on 06/10/2011. I have yet not received the denial notice and do not know the reason for denial.

Questions:
1. How long can I legally stay in US?
2. What are my options - MTR/Appeal?
3. Can I continue to stay in US after filing MTR?
4. My wife has an H1 - can I change my status to H4 without having to travel out of US?
