Q.

H1B ext in progress, valid visa in hand, can I travel to India?

Hi, I am currently in USA and and have a valid H1-B visa till 30-Sept-2011. Date of I-94 expiry is 10-Oct-2011. Also, my employer has applied for an H1-B extension for me and it is filed with USCIS and acknowledgement has been received. I need to travel to India for 2 weeks in July for some important work and I am planning to travel back on 31-July-2011 which is 2 months prior to existing visa expiry. Please help me know whether I could be stopped from entering USA again on July end? and also will the change in I-94 number upon travel will impact visa extension process in any regard.

Thank You
