Facts: My H1-b amendment is in progress due to change in job profile(Senior position/lead role)-no change in job location. I may or may not have amendment approved by the time I go for visa stamping. I have already taken Visa appointment date in Delhi based on my current I-797(Valid till 2013). I will have USCIS receipt for the amendment.

Please see, I will have my new I-797 with me while returning back to USA.

Will it affect H4 visa stamping for my wife if she still uses my current I-797 and will it affect my H1-B visa stamping if I have taken appointment using my current I-797 and I may or may not have my amendment approved by then? Also, if i get my amendment approved that means I will get a new I-797 but I will not have it with me during the interview.
