Recently, my H-1B extension of stay was approved and have received a new I-797 with the attached I-94 document.

I have a personal appointment in Canada coming up in a couple of months, and would like to step out and step back in to US. This should take no longer than 3 days, and I will be travelling by road.

I have read online about AVR process, where one can step out and step back in without the need for a visa stamping. My work for my client is very critical over the coming days and I cannot have them waiting in case a stamping delay.

Appreciate if you could please let me know if AVR process is applicable in my case.
