Reset of H1B visa to 6 years
I am working in US on H1B visa.
I have already utilized my first 3 years of H1B visa. Currently I am using the next 3 years of the H1B extension.
Before starting to work on the H1B extension, I took a break and stayed out of USA for more than 1.5 year.
Q) Since I have stayed out of USA for more than 1 year, does it reset back my H1B visa to another 6 years?
Does it matter if my H1B extension petition was filed under cap. Does it matter how the H1B extension was filed for reset.
