H1B Extension: Deemed export control law
I have approved 140 but waiting for PD to be current. Meanwhile, my company is filing for 3 years of H1B extension based on approved 140. However, my job description has work on a technology which falls under "Deemed Export Control" list. I work in a biopharmaceutical company and my job deals with "Tangential Flow Filtration" technology, which falls on the list. However, my company is not sure how to file for the license and if there is a standard form to do so. I looked around but only found a faq on Federal BIS website. My company wants me to prepare the standard document based on that faq. I was wondering how should I proceed about it. Also, do I have to have this license before H1B extension can be filed? My current H1B expires on Sept 30,2011.
