Q.

Holding multiple I797's unexpired until 2012 sep 30

I had an H1B transfer recently from Company-A to Company-B and got sucessfully stamped in India using Company-B's H1B, which is valid until 2012 sep 30.Even at the port of entry,I used Company B's I797 to get I94 and enter into USA.However, after working in company -B for 3 months,I found out that I will be layed off soon at company-B.If this happens,
(1)Can I move back to Company A which holds my H1B and has an expiration until 2012 sep 30 ?As of now My company-A has not cancelled my H1B.So is it safe for me to move back to Company-A.?(2)Am I going to be out of status from the day1 company-B cancels my H1B? or Will i be given some time to leave. Appreciate your response. Thanks in Advance!
