Q.

L1 to H1

I am currently working for Company A on L1A since Dec 2007. My current visa & I-94 are valid till Mar 2013. Recently I got a job offer from Company B, they processed my H1B (COS) effective from 26-Jan-11
1. If I decide to continue with company A, can I go to Canada and while coming back , can I use my L1 documents for new I-94 at the port of entry? Is this process legally valid? Or will it create any issues if I file for GC in future?
Though I have sent I-539 and G-28 documents for my wife, Company B processed my H1, but forgot to process H4 for my wife. They forwarded those documents to attorney on 04-Feb-2011 for H4 filing
2. How much time it takes for H4 approval, normal and premium modes? Is my wife’s stay on L2 legal till the time she receives H4 as I already moved to H1B
