Visa Stamping requirement after Change of Status from L1 to H1
Hi,
I am from India and when i was in india, Company A applied for L1B and Company B applied for H1B. I got the stamping only through Company A(L1B) and came to US. Same way, my wife and kids have L2-B stamping.
After working for some period, i have applied for change of status from L1-B to H1-B that was done as a counselor processing and was approved by INS. Similarly, i have applied for my wife and kids also. So, they also have H4-B status. And now we have I-140 approved.
Now, my wife and kids plan to go to India for a vacation. And for their return to US, they need to go for stamping.
The question here i have is:
Do i need to be physically present at the time of their stamping as i changed the status from L to H within US. Becuase, originally i entered US through L status.
