I have been given two diffrent answers to this question. I am looking for confirmation. On the USCIS site under emergency travel it says
"If you have been admitted as a nonimmigrant and have applied to extend the period of authorized nonimmigrant stay, or have applied to change to a different nonimmigrant status, you will automatically abandon the application if you leave the United States before USCIS makes a decision on the advance parole application."
The Question. H1b Visa expires feb 20 2011. (5th year,with EB2aprv) Application for extension has been filed. Will I be abandoning application if I travel out of US.?? I will return before visa expires. If abandonment is not the issue please explain the statement from USCIS,& give title and reg number pertaining 2 traveling if theres 1.
