My F1 status will end next week and I cannot use OPT. I am on the way to interview with potential employers from industry & academic.

-I know I can stay in USA for 60 days after F1. Can I change my status to H1-B during that extended time of 60 days in USA?

Also if I am hired by academic employer, I heard it is cap-exempt.

-What happen if I transfer my H1-B to cap-count, industry employer next summer? Do I have to wait until October again to work?

-Sorry last question: Do I have to get any approval from current H1-B sponsor company to transfer H1-B to another company?
