Q.

H4 visa validity question

My current H1b expiring in Dec 2010(6th year Complete).Filed H1b extension in July based on approved I-140 and got the H1b extended till Dec 2013.I got married in Aug2010 and
attended H1b & H4 stamping(for my wife)in the same month.I got H1b visa stamped till Dec 2013 but my wife's H4 stamp is expiring on Dec 14th 2010. She was given visa which is valid only for 3 months(Aug 2010-Dec 2010) though I had two H1b petitions. She entered the country in Oct on H-4 visa and has I-94 valid till October 2013. My questions are(1)Can she stay in the country past Dec 14th 2010(Her visa expiry date)if her I-94 has not expired? Her I-94 is valid till Oct 2013.(2)She was told by an officer at POE to go out of country after Dec 2010 and get a new H4 stamp. Is this needed for her to stay after dec 2010?
