Hi,I am on H1 since 2003.My wife on H4 from 2006to2008.I moved to a small company in 2009. Wife is in India from 2008. She went for H4 stamping(June2010-Chennai).Got a 221g:"Your petition is not currently reflected in PIMS".We contacted through USSenator recently.Then the passport was returned with a 221g:"Your application requires additional administrative processing".When i called Visa dept in US, they mentioned that H4 was rejected based on 214-b on Oct7.When i called chennai,they mentioned that a detailed letter will be sent.Can an H4 be rejected based on 214-b ?Is there a way to contest the decision? What may be the reason for rejetion based on 214-b? Can it be realted to my employer or H1B ? Will a lawayer contacting chennai help speedup the process? Thanks
