I came to the US initially on L1, valid till Sep 2009. I applied for H1 in Mar'08 using my last I-94, say ABC on L1 and got H1 Change of status(effective Oct 1'08) approved with an I-94 number same as ABC. I went back to India on Aug 22'08 handing over my I-94(ABC on L1) and came back in Sep'08 and got a new I-94, say DEF on L1. I started working with H1 employer from Oct 1'08.I again changed my employer on H1 in Feb'09 and also in July'10 and both times my I-797 had I-94 same as DEF(same as in Sep'08 when I entered on L1) instead of ABC of my first I-797. I plan to go next week to India for stamping. Is there a problem with my I-94 as my first H1 had it as ABC and next 2 H1 have I94 as DEF? Which I-94 should I hand over at departure?
