I am in 5th year of H1B but my I797 expires 2/5/2013(extended date) due to approved I-140. My six years expire in Sep, 2012 which includes recaptured dates(vacation outside US). If I change my employer and he file my H1B , will it have expiry date of 2/5/2013(as per my present H1B) or Sep, 2012(as per my six years stay) ? If its not '2/5/2013 ' Is there a way to extend new H1B date to 2/5/2013 or beyond with my new employer considering my approved I-140 or some other way (like if I go out from US again on vacation or something else) ? I will thankful for a prompt reply.
