Q.

Candidate bearing cost for H-1B application

Hello,
I am working on OPT status which expires in March 2011 and hence need to file for H-1B Visa now.My employer is willing to sponsor me but I would have to bear whole of the application cost and attorney fees. Is it allowed that the candidate can pay for all the expenses including USCIS application fees without employer having to pay anything.
My employer is a very good company but they do not sponsor anymore. They are making an exception in my case provided I bear all the cost. I would be provided with all the documents and papers needed or the application.
Does the employer have to compulsory pay certain amount of the application fee ?
How can I make this situation work without employer having to pay anything? Can my employer still sponsor me without having to pay anything ?
