Gap between old and new job on H1B
I am currently working in the USA on an H1B visa. I have recently
accepted a new job. My new employer should file my H1B transfer paperwork by October 1st. My new job has a start date of January 1st.
I would like to leave my current job by October 15th. If I do this, will be be considered out of status?
Can I leave my current job once I have received the notification of
receipt of my H1B transfer application?
Is there any legal maximum gap (in days) between my leaving my current job and starting my new one?
