Q.

L2 to H1 Change of Status

My H1 was filed under FY11 quota and I got the approval as well. When my H1 was filed in April 2010, I was in India. Later on, I came to US on L2 during June 2010. Now, I am currently in US on L2. However, my H1 approval is with out Change of Status. I do not have I-94 with the H1 approval as I was in India at the time of filing the H1. Now, I want to see if I could avoid a trip to India just for stamping. What options do I have to start working on H1 from Oct 1, 2010 with COS (Change of status from L2 to H1). Please advice.
