Q.

EAD to H-1 B transfer

I am currently on EAD (based on a pending I-485application) which is expiring soon. Due to delays at NSC my application for EAD renewal is still pending.

In this context, please answer the below questions for me:

- As my current EAD expires as of Sep 14th, 2010 can I ask my employer to file an H1-B for me?

- Can I continue to work based on the receipt notice of the H-1 B?

- Are there any perceived complications in taking this route?

- Will that affect my ability to jump back onto my EAD once it is approved?

- Will this have any impact on my pending I-485 application?
