Traffic Ticket for no car tag and impact on getting H1B visa
I got a traffic ticket for driving with no car tag in Atlanta 2 months back.I pleaded guilty in court and paid the fine.I'm on H1B visa.I'm planning to go to India next month and get my visa from US consulate.I was looking at the DS156 form for visa appointment. There is a question no:38 "Have you ever been arrested or convicted of any offense or crime, even though subject of a pardon, amnesty or other similar legal action?Have you ever unlawfully distributed or sold a controlled substance(drug),or been a prostitute or procurer for prostitutes".Should I answer 'Yes' or 'No' to this question? If I answer 'Yes' it might become a case of administrative processing and my visa will be delayed. If I say 'No',can the US consulate find out that I'm convicted of the no car tag offense and deny visa?
