Q.

H1B and H4

My husband's H1B is will be transferred to a new employer. I'm currently on H4 (dependent to my husband's H1B) but I recently found my own employer who will also be sponsoring my H1B. So now, both of our H1B applications will be submitted soon to USCIS.

1) Is it best to still include me as dependent in my husband's H1B (so that I don't lose status in case my own H1B is rejected since my case is riskier compared to my husband)?

2) On a positive note, if my H1B is approved and my husband's H1B is also approved (including me as dependent on H4), what will be my status: H1B or H4?

3) Is it possible to synchronize the timing or maybe "link together" our H1B applications so that both of us will end up having H1Bs? Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
