Q.

H1B Seventh Year- need to file H1b with new company?

I am in the seventh year of H1-B for the Company X. I have I-140 approved from Company X. I have 3 years extension from company X

The question is if I get laid-off can I use my I-140 to apply for H1-B from the new company Y and can I get 3-Years H1-B extension?
