I am currently employed by a leading US University. My Current position ends on July 15,2010. My H1 visa stamp is valid untill May 15, 2011. I got a job offer from another top public university on June 10 and I have send all the douments they asked for my H1b transfer on June 15. They will do premium processing for my case. Last communication I got from my new employer was on June 30 and they told that the PWD is filed and pending. I am bit worried that the process is not going to be finished by July 15. In that case do I have a chance of going out of status? Will USCIS approve the H1 transfer? Also my wife is on F1 (I can do COS to F2 as a last resort may be but I would like to avoid that!). Please advice.
