Hello,

I am on H1B visa. My new employer applied for LCA last week, once LCA is cleared then they will apply for H1B transfer.

I already put notice to my current employer saying 9th July is my last date. Now only 2 days left, and we still did not receive LCA approval.

I can extend my end date with current employer, but lets say If employer is not ready to extend the end then what all options I have?

I heard, we cannot join new company without H1b receipt number.


Is it okay to leave company before getting H1b receipt number? If yes, then how long can I stay in US without joining new company?
