Q.

H1 - H4 - H1

My wife had H4 Visa stamping in her passport from my old company until May 30, 2009. We applied for her H1 in March 2008 and got approval. Her H1 is valid until October 2011.

She never got a job. Her employer told us that to get her back on H4 status we should go out of USA. Couple of weeks before the stamping expired, we went to Canada for a day. When we returned, at port of entry the officer renewed her I94 and put the expiry date at 2/15/2011.

Now, she wants to try for a job. What are the steps we need to take for following scenarios:
Scenario A - if she gets a job with some company who are willing to sponsor her H1?
or
Scenario B - if she Wants to work with the company who filed her H1?

Thanks.
