H1 B Transfer

I came to US in Feb -09 on H1B from company A. My department is merging with company B, and the visa transfer was filed somewhere in sep-09 from A to B. I joined company B on 15-Jun. On 25th Jun I came to know that my application was denied on 10-Jun. I have got sal from company A for the month of Jun. Now the question is, whether I am out of status? What should I do? Should I file new h1 transfer or go back to the old company A?The company A's h1B petition is valid until mar11.
