I have applied H1 for my wife in 2008 which got approved. We went to india in may 2009 and returned in sep. 2009 while coming back she went for H4 stamping again instead of H1 as we don't have any paystubs or ssn etc to go for H1 stamping. After coming, the consultancy through which we applied has applied for change of status. He didn't even gave us the receipt number for change of status. But we are sure that he applied for the transfer. we have the I797 with us. But till now there is no reply from the consultancy and he is not replying to us in any way. Is it possible to apply new H1 through any other consultancy?
