Q.

Start Working after getting a reciept for COS from H4-H1

I'm currently on H4 and applied for my COS to H1(Changed my status from H1-H4 Last Yr)
1) Is it Legal if I start working with my receipt number before approval.
2) If my H1 gets Denied after I start working with my receipt, I was told by my lawyer that if I stop working immediately upon being notified the denial, I will be automatically reverted to H4 status. Is this Correct?
a)If this is not correct what is the procedure for me to revert back to H4
3) What Status will I be once I start working on receipt, H4 or H1?
4) Does my employer has to run the Payroll? Will running the payroll or not, affect the Status I would be on (H4 or H1)?
5) If I'm asked for Client letter by USCIS as part of my approval process is it fine if it states that I already started working before the approval?
