I am and currently working on H1B visa. My wife and daughter living with me on H4 visa in USA. Our current US visa has expired although H1 ipetition is valid till 28Feb, 2011.

Due to some family emergency, my wife is travelling to India alone, on May 26th and plans to get her visa stamped in India for her return to US.

She has sceduled appointment for visa stamping at American Embassy, New Delhi.

Do you think there can be an issue for stamping visa for dependent candidate (H4), if the principal candidates H1 visa is not stamped. Do you think I need to have valid visa before my wife gets H4 stamped.
