Q.

H-4 Visa

Right now I am on a university sponsored H-1b. This H-1b is valid from September 2009 to August 2012(this was extension for previous H-1b that was valid from August 2006 to August 2009). I have another H-1b from a consultancy that is valid from October 2007 to September 30th 2010.

I got an offer for a contract position and would like to shift from university H-1b to consultancy H-1b.

At present my wife is on H-4 visa(from University, valid until August 2012). Right now she is in India. What happens to her H-4 status once I move to consultancy H-1b?
Does her H-4 is invalid once I resign position at university or it will be still valid and she can enter USA even after I move to the consultancy H-1b.

Can you please suggest me best way to follow.

Thanks a lot.
