H4 visa stamping while in Adjustment of Status
I recently switched my non-immigrant status from F-1 to H-4. I do not have a valid visa stamp on my passport. My spouse submitted a petition for EB1 green card category, which is pending. My questions are:
1. Can I travel to my home country now and have my passport stamped with H4 visa?
2. If yes, what documents do I need? In particular, do I need my spouse's original I-797 since I have my own H4 approval notice?
3. What documents do I need for reentry into US if I get my H4 stamp?
4. If my spouse's petition is approved and we apply for Adjustment of Status for the green card, can I then travel to my home country to have my passport stamped with H4 visa, while the AOS is pending?
5. Can I travel from US to Canada without H4 stamp while AOS is pending?
Thank you.
